Bouchercon World Mystery Convention is a nonprofit, organization which holds an annual convention in honor of Anthony Boucher, the distinguished mystery fiction critic, editor and author.

It is the world’s premier event bringing together all parts of the mystery and crime fiction community, and is pronounced [bough’•chur•con].

Bouchercon® is the annual world mystery convention where every year readers, writers, publishers, editors, agents, booksellers and other lovers of crime fiction gather for a 4-day weekend of education, entertainment, and fun!

The first Bouchercon took place in 1970 in Santa Monica, California. Subsequent Bouchercons have been held in many cities across the United States, as well as in Toronto and the UK. It’s all BY FANS, FOR FANS.

Crime Writers of Canada Pub Night Trivia

Location: Exhibit Hall EX

Join the Crime Writers of Canada and Sisters in Crime Canada West as they host a mystery trivia competition. Prizes for the winning teams. (Cash bar and light snacks)

The theme for the event is Two Truths and Red Herring (a spin on two truths and a lie) whereby attendees will use an app-based trivia platform to answer questions put forward by featured authors including Anthony Bidulka, Cathy Ace and Brenda Chapman.

There will be three rounds of 12 questions each and each round will shine a spotlight on one of CWC’s authors.
