At the Calgary launch of Amuse Bouche at McNally Robinson Booksellers. With mother-in-law Muriel, friends Kenny & Betty, and Herb.
Reading at Vancouver Launch 2003
This was the first reading where the guests were only inches away from me. It took a bit of an adjustment, but it was cozy and intimate and allowed for some good interaction.
Vancouver Launch
Vancouver launch of Amuse Bouche held at Little Sisters Bookstore. With dear friends Holly, George, Dana and Greg.
Calgary Launch with Herb and Jessica
Our good friend Jessica drove all the way from Edmonton to be with us at my Calgary book launch at McNally Robinson.
Vancouver Launch Pre-Party at Opus
Opus Hotel in Vancouver was the scene of a very fun pre-launch party for Flight of Aquavit. The lovely blonde is ex-colleague Karren who just happened to be in town, with Dylan, Dan and half of Jenn. that was quite the bill, if I remember correctly. And fun to match. 2004

My wonderful U.S. publicist teamed me up with the well-respected author Robert Taylor for my first U.S. tour. Here we are signing away at A Different Light Bookstore in Los Angeles. 2005

Victoria Launch with Bob and Eleanor
I’m with our good friends, ex-Saskatonians, Bob and Eleanor, at the Victoria, BC launch of Tapas on the Ramblas. They helped a great deal with my sue of the word “Aiuto!” in the book. 2005
Atlanta, GA
This is the signing after my reading at Outwrite bookstore in Atlanta. What a terrific place – also part cafe that serves exquisite pastries – and the crowd was extraordinarily friendly. I still keep in touch with some of the attendees. 2006
Signing at Edmontons Audreys Bookstore
This is at the signing after my Edmonton launch at Audrey’s Bookstore. This will be a memorable event because we were to have flown in the night before to visit with some friends, but had to cancel because I came down with a violent case of food poisoning. I was so glad to be over it in time to appear as promised. 2006
Little Sisters in Vancouver
In the foreground are Jill and Jim, laughing it up, before I got started with the reading. It was a happy crowd that night at Little Sisters Bookstore in Vancouver. 2006

Cherry Cheesecake Literary Cafe
Addressing the audience Bruno Cherry Festival – July 24, 2009 – Cherry Cheesecake Literary Cafe This was held on a Friday night which also happened to be my birthday. So I brought along Herb, mom, and mom-in-law. My sister and brother-in-law surprised me by showing up as well. It was a beautiful summer evening. Lovely crowd. Wonderful MC, Ryan Land, who gave me the best intro I think I’ve ever had. He told me later that Yan Martel (who did this event two years prior) said the same thing and wanted Ryan to go on tour with him.
