Jess: I love a cozy murder mystery. And this one has all the Canadian nostalgia. What’s not to like?! I am interested in reading more of the series now since this is book nine. It can be read as a standalone. I just want to read more.
HollS: In short, I really enjoyed this novel! You can really sense the love that the author has for this cast of characters, his Ukranian heritage and hometown province of Saskatchewan. The story itself can easily be read on its own, but return readers will love seeing what the characters have been up to in the 15 years since last seeing Russell Quant. I think it also has some Easter eggs for Bidulka’s Merry Bell series. Recommending this cozy mystery with a glass of wine and fabulous robe.
Holly: Quant was a short and sweet, cozy Canadian mystery. Quant was very likeable, I’d have a drink and go for a ride in his Lilac Jeep with him. I liked (almost) all the side characters too. The food descriptions were mouth watering and inspired me to have a slice of apple pie and pistachio ice cream. I would read more by this author.
